BAMUHAYE Chancelle
Former child journalist of UNICEF Burundi, Chancelle Bamuhaye is a child rights activist, she has a bachelor degree in communication for development and she has been passionate about humanitarian work since she was 16. Chancelle has experience in the field of communication and advocacy through various internships in different media, UNICEF Burundi, the Delegation of the European Union and her volunteer work in different humanitarian organizations. She pays great attention to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable, youth leadership, community behavior change and respect for human rights. She is also the holder of the prize for Best volunteer 2019 granted by UN Volunteer, the prize for a contributor in the Education of vulnerable kids granted by UNFPA in partnership with the ministry of solidarity, the prize for young girl innovating in the use of ICT granted by OPDAD the organization of the Burundian first lady and in may 2022 she had a great opportunity to represent Burundi in Roma, Italy during the private audience that Pope Francis granted to young changemakers from different countries in the world.
